I used to know nothing about babysitting. But I wanted to be a babysitter so I learned and became one. I used to know nothing about being a mom. So I studied and learned, and I’m pretty proud of what I’ve accomplished.
I knew nothing about writing a book, so I researched and found out how to make it happen and now I’m an author. I knew nothing about selling an ebook over the internet. So I researched and learned about website design, payment processing, downloading and security. None of my dreams were easy to achieve, but that didn’t keep me from achieving them.
Each dream that I accomplished was a stepping stone to my next dream. Babysitting can be a stepping stone to your next dream. You have dreams, don’t you? If you don’t, you will.
I’ve written this book to help you make babysitting a stepping stone to whatever dreams you have now, or will have later in your life.
Now the book is finished, the website is up and you can download my book and build your next stepping stone. This babysitting book will change your life… maybe even the world.
I babysit for a family that the husband is an orthepedic surgeon in Wisconsin. They have four children. I babysit once a week for a two year old for 4 to 7 hours in a day. There is a four year old that I go and pick up after school and bring back home. I then make lunch for both of them. I am an experienced mom of 4 but am new at babysitting for others at their home. I make four beds when I arrive. I am getting $10.00 an hour. Is this pay reasonable? I think I am not getting the proper pay! Please help!
All four kids were off of school last week and still received $10.00 an hour is that right?
I’m only eleven years old, and im starting to babysit! Does anyone have any advice?
My book has lots of advice. Check it out.
This book is very well written and gives some good advice! I tried one of the suggestions the other day to always find an opportunity to give compliments, and sure enough the behavior was repeated. The six-year-old I was babysitting wanted to be told again and again that she was such a great helper. What Kayanne says in the book is very true, the behaviors that are given the most attention, are the behaviors that will be repeated. So shower on the praise, and get this book for more insight on how to be the perfect babysitter!
Thanks for your comment, Gayle. I wish every babysitter had this book. I want babysitters to learn this stuff and practice it on other people’s kids to learn that it really works. You CAN inspire kids to behave. It makes babysitting so much better.
